Yostar released two new videos for Azur Lane, one for the Inverted Orthant event and the other which shows behind the scenes footage of “Limit Break”.
The first video is an animated commercial which showcases the new recruitable shipgirls in the Inverted Orthant event. Inverted Orthant, which hit all versions of Azur Lane on 29th December, is the game’s last major event of 2020. Six new Iron Blood ships find their way into the Limited Construction Pool until 13th January. The event also adds 18 New Year skins for Commanders to obtain.
While the girls are definitely very attractive, they had major competition on the same day, when Yostar released a behind-the-scenes video of the recent Enterprise commercial. Azur Lane’s poster girl was played by male singer Takanori Nishikawa, who goes by the stage name TMRevolution.
The 15-second commercial, Limit Break, depicts a muscular Nishikawa “evolving” into Enterprise. In the behind-the-scenes video, we see his transformation process and how the production crew filmed under pandemic-era restrictions. Nishikawa also shares his thoughts in an interview towards the end of the video.
This is not the first time the singer-songwriter appeared in Azur Lane promotional content. In September earlier this year, Nishikawa also appeared as Enterprise in Azur Lane’s 3rd Anniversary Special Movie, “As A Route of Ray“.
As Azur Lane continues to grow in popularity, players will definitely have a lot of new shipgirls to collect and content to play with. Just over a week ago, Operation Siren brought an entirely new game mode to keep the three-year-old game fresh.
