While the game does try to replicate historical accuracy to a certain degree, do not expect a legitimate history lesson. The shipgirls are based on actual warships, but players should focus on cute girls and shooting stuff instead.
For those who played Azur Lane on mobile, you will be pleased to know that Crosswave features a different narrative from the mobile game. The spin-off focuses on the Sakura Empire side of things, rather than the mobile game’s focus on the Azur Lane faction.
Check the game out on the Nintendo eShop, and don’t forget the Neptune bikini DLC while you are at it!
