Popular mobile game Azur Lane is implementing significant changes to comply with Google Play Store policies, developer Yostar announced today. Several character outfits will be removed from the in-game shop, and an ongoing event will conclude earlier than planned.
According to the announcement, five outfits will be removed from purchase after January 4, 11:59 P.M. (UTC-7). The affected items include Live2D outfits for Shinano, Napoli, Hindenburg, and Atago, as well as Chitose’s Summer Shine outfit. Players who have already purchased these outfits will retain full ownership and remain unaffected by the changes.

The Port Fashion Collection: Holiday Special Vol.05 event in Azur Lane will also end prematurely on January 4. Players are encouraged to complete any remaining event content and view associated story segments before the deadline. To address player inconvenience, Yostar is offering compensation in the form of two Gear Skin Box (Night Club) items to all players. The announcement has sparked discussion within the community, with some players suggesting the development of a PC version to avoid mobile platform restrictions.
Yostar has apologized for the disruption and promised to keep players informed of any future changes. Azur Lane remains available on both iOS on the Apple Store and Android platforms on Google Play.
