Last month, Auto Chess Mobile’s beta went live in China and now the English version open beta has begun.
Based on a Dota 2 mod of the same name, Auto Chess Mobile features Dota 2 heroes being played like pieces on a chess board. In addition, the heroes will have more or less the same skills like the ones they have in Dota 2.
You start with a Preparation phase, where you get to select different heroes from a randomized list. Next, you need to choose where you want them placed on the chess board.
The heroes’ skills, how they move and where you place them will all play an important factor. Once you’ve completed your placements, the game proceeds to battle automatically.
Auto Chess Mobile is proving to be a simple game to pick up but requires lots of practice to master its strategy. It’s surprisingly engaging, though it can also be time-consuming.
Those who want to try the game can now download it to their Android smartphones through the game’s Google PlayStore page.
