Muse Asia has officially announced that Attack on Titan The Movie: THE LAST ATTACK will screen in Malaysia along with several other regions across Southeast Asia, including Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, the Philippines, Vietnam, and Indonesia.
This feature-length compilation film, which premiered in Japan on November 8, 2024, serves as a refined version of parts three and four of Attack on Titan: The Final Season THE FINAL CHAPTERS. Running for 145 minutes, it offers an immersive viewing experience with enhanced 5.1-channel surround sound and returns with the impactful theme song “To You in 2,000… or… 20,000 Years From Now” by Linked Horizon. Series director Yuichiro Hayashi highlighted in an interview with Crunchyroll that the film format aligns well with the intended pacing and structure of The Final Chapters, which complements his original vision for the series’ closing moments.
Adding to the excitement, THE LAST ATTACK includes a wholesome post-credit scene featuring Attack on School Castes, a lighter, modern-day take on the original characters. This alternate-universe storyline reimagines Eren, Mikasa, and Armin as high-school students, with a playful twist: Eren is shown casually munching popcorn between a “goth” Mikasa and a “geeky” Armin, a scene adapted from Chapter 34. The quirky, slice-of-life tone provides a refreshing contrast to the main series’ intensity, giving fans a humorous and heartwarming farewell to these beloved characters.
