We may finally have a release date for the highly anticipated finale of Attack on Titan, according to a now deleted unlisted video.
(UPDATE) Aniplex has confirmed the release date in a Tweet.
The news was unintentionally leaked by the official Pony Canyon YouTube Channel through an unlisted video that has since been removed, which contained a new key visual and release date in the description.
This does track with a previous announcement stating that the finale will be coming in 2023, having a release date of November 4th, 2023.
The release date was originally planned to be announced at a special event known as ‘Attack on Titan Worldwide’, an event to celebrate the anime’s 10th Anniversary as well as its finale.
The finale to the series is likely to adapt Chapters 135-139 of the manga.
Fans are having mixed reactions regarding the release of the finale, as the ending of Attack on Titan drew much criticism from readers of the manga. Nevertheless, the majority seem to be excited to finally receive a conclusion to the critically acclaimed anime.
Other finales of Attack on Titan include: Attack on Titan: The Final Season, Attack on Titan: The Final Chapters Special 1, and Attack on Titan: The Final Chapters Special 2.
Do note that the information might be subject to change until we receive official confirmation when the event goes live.
