Mundfish have announced the release of the first DLC for Atomic Heart, the action-RPG set in an alternate 1955 titled Annihilation Instinct.
The Atomic Heart Annihilation Instinct DLC sets to debut the Atomic Pass’ series of additional content, which includes new features to complement new narrative content such as a new area, new weapons, new enemies, and a new glove ability.
This also marks the best time to get Atomic Heart for those who still don’t own it, as the base game is getting a 40% discount on Steam.
Technological Nightmare Continues
Players will embark on a new mind-bending journey in the Atomic Heart: Annihilation DLC and discover the truth about NORA’s story as Major P-3 is pulled back into Facility 3826. During the journey, players get to meet Professor Lebedev and figure out how to suppress the AI’s insanity and curb its Annihilation Instinct.
Venture forth and continue on the story of Atomic Heart’s dystopian world, all while visiting the Mendeleev Complex and its surrounding swamps. The DLC is also the home of new shape-shifting enemies as well as a brand new boss.
Players will also be able to unlock two new weapons: the Secateur – a ranged weapon with two firing modes, and the Klusha – a melee that can slash and pierce. Players’ polymeric glove also gets a brand new enhancement ion the Techonostasis ability. which allows players to manipulate time itself.
Do note that players can freely and immediately access the DLC content without needing to complete or pass a certain stage in the main story.
Atomic Heart is now available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC with three available editions. For more information, do check out the game’s official website here.
