Atelier Online announced for smartphones

Koei Tecmo has just announced Atelier Online for Android and iOS, showing off the game in a trailer and a series of screenshots.

As you may have guessed from the title alone, Atelier Online is essentially an online version of the series, featuring a familiar world and game system. In the backdrop of the trademark Atelier mellow setting, you will be engaging in the same combat system and tinkering with the same synthesis mode which the game is known for.

As a series first, you will be able to cooperate with other players, although the extent of the interaction is unknown at this point.

Atelier Online is scheduled for a winter release for the smartphones in Japan. No word if the game will be localised.
