Atelier Marie Remake: The Alchemist of Salburg, a remake of the very first Atelier game will launch worldwide on the 13th of July for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, and PC.
Developer Gust and Publisher Koei Tecmo have also come out with a new trailer for the game:
“A carefree, cozy RPG adventure… At the Royal Academy of Magic (the Academy for short), Marie is failing in her attempts to study alchemy. One day, she is given an atelier by her professor as part of a special graduation exam. In order to graduate, Marie must complete an item that will impress her professor”.
Atelier Marie: The Alchemist of Salburg was originally released on the PS1 in 1997, making it the first game in the belong running franchise. The remake will feature overhauled 3D graphics, updated gameplay that maintains the mechanics of the original while adapting them for modern gaming, and new content including new events and characters to further flesh out the game.
Three different limited-edition versions of the game have also been announced for the Japanese version of the game:
The Digital Deluxe Edition contains the ‘Another Look’ costume set with 33 costumes, the ‘Gust Extra Background Music Pack,’ and Atelier Marie Plus: The Alchemist of Salburg which is a digital copy of the original game.
The Premium Box includes an art book, a clear card set, and a soundtrack selection CD containing tracks from both the original and the remake.
The Special Collection Box includes all of the content from the Premium Box, a B2 tapestry, a special data book, an acrylic diorama stand, and a set of 20 clear bookmarks.
