Today, ASUS introduced the newest entry to their ZenFone Max series – ZenFone Max Pro M1 with the slogan “limitless gaming”. We are lucky to be able to experience the smartphone beforehand, so here is our ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M1 review!

The Design and Display
Come in a premium metal body, the model we get is in the elegant Deepsea Black. ZenFone Max Pro M1 still features the iconic design of ASUS smartphones, but this time it features both the trending Full View display and dual lens rear camera too.
Its IPS display is 5.99″ big with 18:9 aspect ratio and 2160 x 1080 resolution. A fingerprint sensor that takes only 0.3s to unlock is located at the back, you can use face unlock to unlock the smartphone as well. The device is 8.45 mm thick and weighs at 180 g, it might sound heavy but considered its massive battery it is actually slim and light compared to the other smartphones.

Camera
ZenFone Max Pro M1 features a 13 MP main rear camera and a 5 MP bokeh camera on its back. The built-in Snapdragon camera provides up to 12 modes, 9 filters and various beautification options. Thanks to the awesome cameras, you can get decent shots with vibrant colors and superb details easily, real-time portraits will not be a problem too.

On the front of ZenFone Max Pro M1, we have an 8 MP front camera. Just like most of the recent ASUS smartphones, ZenFone Max Pro M1 also offers a live beautification feature that instantly retouches your shots for the most indulgent selfies.
Performance and Battery Life
As the slogan says, ZenFone Max Pro M1 aims to provide limitless gaming so you won’t be disappointed at its gaming performance. Powered by 14nm Snapdragon 636 8-core processor and 3 GB RAM, the device can handle various tasks or mobile games easily. We haven’t encountered any lagging when we test it with different games such as Dragon Ball Legends and PUBG Mobile!
The device is coming with 32 GB ROM which is enough to store all your essential apps. If that is not enough for you, don’t worry as you can expand its storage up to 2TB using microSD card.
It features a massive amount of stamina – a 5000 mAh battery too, you can easily go through 2 days under normal usage. Taking Mobile Legends, Free Fire Battlegrounds and Arena of Valor as the example, you could enjoy about 11 hours of non-stop gaming as well.
The Verdict
Coming with the massive 5000 mAh battery, 6-inch FullView display, dual-lens camera and decent gaming performance, ZenFone Max Pro M1 is compact and affordable.
