ASUS kicked off CES 2025 with their “Always Incredible” virtual launch event, introducing a new lineup of AI-enhanced PCs that could reshape how gamers and content creators interact with their machines. The showcase highlighted two key products: the ultra-lightweight Zenbook A14 and the value-oriented Vivobook 14/16 series.
The Zenbook A14 stands out as the world’s lightest Copilot+ PC, weighing in at just 899 grams. It’s powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Series processors and features a Hexagon NPU capable of delivering up to 45 TOPS of AI processing power. The laptop’s dual-fan design suggests potential for handling demanding applications, while its 70Wh battery promises over 32 hours of operation.
For budget-conscious users, the Vivobook 14/16 series offers Snapdragon X processors in the A1407/A1607 models, delivering the same 45 TOPS of AI processing capability. AMD variants (M1407KA/M1607KA) featuring the latest Ryzen AI 7 300 series processors are also available. The Snapdragon models boast a 44% performance increase over their predecessors and can run for up to 19.8 hours on a single charge.
Both laptop lines come equipped with Windows 11’s Copilot+ features, including AI-powered tools like Cocreator in Paint and enhanced photo editing capabilities. Security features include the Microsoft Pluton security processor and AI-powered presence detection for automatic device locking. The announcement signals ASUS’s commitment to bringing AI capabilities to various price points, potentially impacting how future gaming laptops might integrate AI features for enhanced performance and user experience.
