ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has announced its 2025 gaming laptop lineup during CES 2025, featuring the latest processors from Intel, AMD, and NVIDIA, alongside significant design improvements across their product range. The new lineup showcases NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 50 Series Laptop GPUs, powered by the Blackwell architecture. These GPUs bring enhanced AI capabilities and support for NVIDIA DLSS 4, enabling improved graphics performance and new AI experiences through NVIDIA NIM microservices.
The 2025 ROG Strix series introduces several innovations, including the industry’s first tool-less bottom panel in a gaming laptop. The flagship models, Strix SCAR 16 and 18, along with Strix G16 and G18, feature a new dual-layer ACR film display that reduces reflections by 55% and increases contrast by 4.5x. The Intel-based models incorporate a novel sandwiched heatsink design with an end-to-end vapor chamber, enabling up to 240W of power output with reduced noise levels.
ROG’s Flow Z13 gaming tablet receives a significant upgrade with AMD’s new Ryzen AI Max+ 395 chiplet processor, featuring RDNA 3.5 graphics comparable to Radeon 8060S performance. The device supports up to 128GB of LPDDR5X-8000 RAM and includes an improved vapor chamber with 54% more coverage than its predecessor.
The Zephyrus series sees updates to both G14 and G16 models. The G14 features an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor, while the G16 comes equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor 285H and options up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU. Both models feature OLED Nebula Displays with up to 240Hz refresh rates and G-SYNC support.
ROG has also introduced a new XG Mobile external GPU with Thunderbolt 5 support, available with either NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 or RTX 5070 Ti Laptop GPUs. The device features a semi-transparent casing, improved cooling with a stainless steel vapor chamber, and comprehensive connectivity options including HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.1.
