ASUS Launches the New 2024 TUF Gaming F16 Laptop in Malaysia

At today’s Transcend Beyond Grand Launch Event, ASUS Malaysia announced that the 2024 TUF Gaming F16 laptop will be available in the country next week.

The 2024 refresh of the TUF Gaming 16 sports an upgraded chassis and an expansive 16-inch 16:10 displayed while being powered by the 13th Gen Intel processors.

The ASUS TUF Gaming F16 is available with a 13th Intel Core i7-13650HX processor with 14 cores and 20 threads, as well as DDR5-4800MHz RAM along with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 GPU with NVIDIA Advanced Optimus.

A highlight of the TUF Gaming F16 is the upgradeability, with two memory and storage slots available for expansion.

Furthermore, the laptop is tested to the new 2024 military-grade MIL-STD-810H standards for durability, including vibration, shock, altitude, and temperature resistance.

New Chassis Design

Brand new for 2024, the TUF Gaming F16 features a redesigned chassis, with a new 16-inch display and a “mecha” inspired aesthetic.

Available in Mecha Gray, an embossed logo graces the aluminum lid of the laptop with the TUF wording also being featured on the trackpad with a small logo underneath the keyboard deck.

The laptop will also feature USB-C PD charging, a 90Wh battery, and a desktop-like keyboard with a typing travel distance of 1.7mm, as well as Thunderbolt 4, for ultra-fast transfer speeds of up to 40Gbps.

In terms of display, the 16-inch screen has a 16:10 aspect ratio display and thin bezels that make for a 90% screen-to-body ratio.

Comes with WUXGA resolution and a refresh rate of 165 Hz, as well as G-SYNC support, except for minimal screen tearing and stuttering, while the IPS panel ensures more accurate color rendering.

The TUF Gaming F16 also features high-quality audio with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio, creating a more immersive experience when gaming.

Availability and Pricing

The all-new TUF Gaming F16 will be available with two GPU options, either the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU-powered version, priced at RM 5,999, or the GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU-powered option priced at RM 6,299.

Availability is set to commence next week, with the TUF Gaming F16 to be on shelves from 24 January 2024 onwards.
