Asus ExpertBook B5 Series Available Now in Malaysia

ASUS unveiled that the ExpertBook B5 OLED and Expertbook B5 Flip OLED, 16-inch convertible laptops are available for purchase in Malaysia.

Both the ASUS ExpertBook B5 OLED and Expertbook B5 Flip OLED laptops are designed for business productivity on the go and will be priced at RM8,099 and RM7,699 respectively.

The ASUS ExpertBook B5 series laptops will be powered by up to a 13th Gen Intel Core i7 processor with the Intel vPro platform, coupled with 16GB DDR5-4800 RAM with the capability to support up to 40 GB of RAM.

Out of the box, the laptops will come with 512 GB of storage and support for up to 2 SSDs to allow for more storage capacities as well as supporting RAID technology3.

Furthermore, the laptops will also feature Intel Arc A350M discrete graphics with a dual-fan design that is said to deliver quiet but reliable performance for both work and play.

Aimed towards professionals in various industries, the new laptops will also be equipped with the latest WiFi 6E technology that is said to enable smoother wireless connections with an extended range.

Professional Portability

The body of the ExpertBook B5 series is manufactured with magnesium-aluminum alloy and pure aluminum and weighs around 1.4 kg.

ASUS claims that the ExpertBook B5 laptop is lighter than many of its competitor convertible laptops and will also provide up to 14 hours of battery life on a single charge.

For the display, the laptops are built with a 16-inch OLED display with a 16:10 ratio that can offer more vertical workspace for productivity.

Additionally, the OLED panel displays a color-grading of 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, offering a vibrant and accurate color for creative professionals.

As a convertible laptop, the ExpertBook B5 Flip OLED also has a 360° any-position hinge that allows for flexibility in online meetings and productivity.

In addition, the Flip model also includes a fast-charging stylus that is said to last for up to 45 minutes of use and can be stored in the laptop’s integrated garage.

Designed for Business

Designed with business productivity in mind, the ExpertBook B5 comes pre-installed with AI-powered technologies from ASUS, including two-way AI-powered noise-canceling technology and an AI-driven camera for virtual meetings.

Utilizing machine-learning techniques, ASUS claimed that the noise-canceling technology can ensure noises be eliminated for a clear voice call conversation in any environment.

On top of that, ASUS says the laptop’s AI-powered camera features motion-tracking technology that keeps the user’s face centered during a virtual meeting and auto-adjusts the focus of their eyes.

On the other hand, the laptop will also benefit from ASUS ExpertWidget, which allows users to customize and create custom hotkeys for quick access to functions.

Moreover, the side of the ExpertBook B5 laptops comes built with 2 Thunderbolt™ 4 and 1 HDMI® 2.0 port that allows users to connect up to 3 external 4K UHD monitors for better productivity.

Security, Manageability, Durability

To boost business safety, both the ExpertBook B5 laptops will come with a range of features to ensure that confidential and private data stay secure.

For example, the laptops will come included with support for the Intel vPro platform, an integrated fingerprint sensor, a physical webcam shutter, an integrated Kensington Nano lock slot, and an optional TPM 2.0.

Additionally, the new 16-inch ExpertBook B5 OLED laptops are both designed to meet industry thresholds of ultra-demanding MIL-STD 810H US military standard, featuring highly resilient casings and keyboards.

Claimed to be designed for sustainability, the ExpertBook B5 OLED is manufactured using post-industrial recycled materials that are verified with energy STAR® 8.0 standards, with energy consumption that is up to 46% lower than requirements.

ASUS also said that the packaging and accessory box is been created with sustainability in mind, carrying FSC™ MIX labeled packaging for up to 90% recycled materials.

Both laptops are now available for purchase through the official ASUS website with the ExpertBook B5 OLED priced at RM8,099 and the ExpertBook B5 Flip OLED convertible laptop priced at RM7,699.
