Ubisoft and Level Infinite announced that the closed beta test for Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade will begin 3rd August to 11th August 2023 for Android and iOS.
Codename Jade is a mobile spin-off title of the beloved Assassin’s Creed series and will feature open-world gameplay the franchise is known for on mobile platforms.
Additionally, the game is said to feature character creator for players to create their own assassins to climb and parkour through the bustling cities of Ancient China.
The game will set in third century BC Ancient China during the unification of China under the Qin dynasty.
It was also during the time when trade and cultural exchange between East and West begun.
Players will play as an adopted child of master Wei Yu and set out on a journey for vengeance after their close friend is betrayed.
As players delve deeper into their mission, they will unveil secrets of the past and discover a destructive force that threatens to destroy everything they hold dear.
In addition, players will explore the path of Xia and journey through Ancient China’s prominent landmarks such as the Great Wall and the imperial capital of Xianyang.
Taking on the mantle of an assassin, the player will battle against the Xiongnu raiders, uncover secrets of the terracotta warriors, and explore 2,000 years of China history and culture.
Beta Sign-Up
The closed beta test for Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade is available for sign up through its official website.
Ubisoft notes that the initial closed beta will have servers located in North America and Western Europe, and eligible players will have to select the server best suits their connections.
Players who sign up are required to answer a questionnaire scheduled to be sent out between 17th July and 27th July.
Then, invitations will be handed out to eligible players between 27th July and 31st July. Invited players can then pre-download the game on 1st August.
