Artifact, the highly anticipated card game based on Dota 2, can now be pre-purchased on Steam. Fans and players who wish to purchase it early can do so now before 28th November 2018 for RM85. Currently, the mobile version is still unavailable.
Artifact is a collaboration between legendary card game designer Richard Garfield and Valve. Inspired by Dota 2, Artifact combines stunning graphics with strategic gameplay, mixed with Dota 2 lore.
The game was officially announced in March 2018, which revealed gameplay and some of the cards featured in the game. Despite sharing similarities to Blizzard’s Hearthstone, Artifact features three boards instead of one.
The three boards are a representation of Dota 2’s three lanes . Unlike Dota 2, the player’s objective is to take down 2 out of 3 towers of the opposing player. Heroes can also equip items, similar to Dota 2. Players can buy items and equipment during the “buying phase” with gold earned from killing heroes and creeps.
For RM85, players will receive 10 card packs, 5 event tickets and two complete starter decks. The starter decks are Red/Green Brawler and Blue/Black Control. The event tickets are used to enter events that can reward prizes.
