Bandai Namco Entertainment has put out a new story trailer for Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, giving a glimpse into the bleak setting of the upcoming mech action game.
In the trailer, we’re introduced to Handler Walter, controller of the Hounds, as well as the player character, designation C-621 following a pyrrhic mission with many dead Hounds.
Considering the entire trailer is pre-rendered cutscenes, don’t expect much in the way of new gameplay reveals- but the trailer does feature lots of mech-on-tank action, as the Hounds aim to take down a gigantic vehicle.
That being said it’s not unlike From Software to tease gameplay features in their story trailers, such as some mechs sporting gatling guns as well as pistols.
Still, if you like your mech action games dark, bleak and with blatant disregard for human life, the Story Trailer for Armored Core VI delivers in spades, showing off multiple dead hounds being disintegrated by various beams.
Armored Core VI is a hotly anticipated title by Elden Ring developers From Software, and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment.
The game releases August 25th on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One as well as PC via Steam, with pre orders available now.
