Bandai has announced that it will be releasing cards based on the popular tower defense gacha game Arknights for its trading card game Union Arena.
Authorized by developer Hypergryph, Arknights characters would soon be playable in the Union Arena trading card game as mentioned.
As of writing, the card game will only be launched in China and Japan. The release date of the card game has also not been announced yet.
For the uninitiated, Union Arena is described as a “common rules trading card game” that features characters from various popular series, allowing fans to play with their favorite characters while only needing to learn one set of rules.

Think of Union Arena as a card game that isn’t fixed to a specific world like Yu-Gi-Oh! or Magic the Gathering, but instead draws all its cards from other popular IPs like a massive crossover title.
Some popular series with Union Arena cards include Jujutsu Kaisen, Hunter x Hunter, Bleach, One-Punch Man, Code Geass, and Demon Slayer.
From the teaser video, it looks like the cards will be based on the gacha game of Arknights instead of the anime adaptation, so that means character choices are not as restricted and we might see some of our favorite operators from later patches immediately at launch.
