Arknights CN Announces Collaboration With Dungeon Meshi

Hypergryph has announced a collaboration between Arknights CN and the popular ‘cooking’ anime, Dungeon Meshi.

News of the collaboration was announced during the 5th Anniversary Livestream for Arknights CN on Bilibili,  accompanied by a special stop motion video of ‘Dokutah’ cooking originium slugs.

Aside from the special video, the team has also revealed Senshi from Dungeon Meshi to be one of the collaboration characters.

While we do not know if more characters will be coming, Arknights would usually feature multiple characters or references from the franchise with their collaborations.

For example, Rainbow Six Siege brings multiple operators while Monster Hunter has references to both Kirin and Rathalos for the limited operators. As such, other characters from Dungeon Meshi such as Marcille and Izutsumi may come with the collaboration as well.

As of writing, Hypergryph has not revealed the actual date for when the collaboration is coming to Arknights CN, but according to the Senshi reveal, CN players can expect the collaboration to hit their servers within this year.

However, due to the event gap between CN and global servers, Arknights players would probably need to expect an approximate one-year wait before the Dungeon Meshi collaboration comes to global players. Nevertheless, it’s a collaboration that players can eagerly await.

Dungeon Meshi, or Delicious in Dungeon in English, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Ryouko Kui, and it was serialized in Enterbrain’s seinen manga magazine Harta from February 2014 to September 2023.

After an unsuccessful attempt to slay a red dragon, the three members of the party – Laios Touden, Chilchuck Tims, and Marcille Donato brainstorm on how to get back to the dungeon level to save Falin, who was devoured by the red dragon while teleporting them to safety.

Laios then suggests that they sustain themselves by finding good in the dungeon, which is where they encounter Senshi, a dwarf with many years of experience surviving by cooking monsters and harvesting food.

The story details their travels through the dungeon, the traps and monsters they encounter, and the meals they create.
