Arknights 3.5 Anniversary Livestream Highlights

Arknights Global just had its 3.5 Anniversary Livestream, celebrating the game and revealing many new content including a long-awaited event, patch updates, and new merchandise. Without further ado, here are the highlights revealed during the livestream.

New Event

During the livestream, “Where Vernal Winds Will Never Blow” is revealed to be the next Side Story event to be released on Arknights on the 28th July, 10:00 (UTC-7) to August 18th, 2023, 03:59 (UTC-7). 

“Where Vernal Winds Will Never Blow” is Arknights’s 18th Side Story event, and it was initially released on Arknights CN as a Chinese New Year celebration event.

The event will be released in two phases:

• [Case Investigation, Onsite]: July 28 – August 11
• [Criminal Pursuit, Offsite]: August 4 – August 11

During the event period, players can receive various rewards by completing event stages and exchanging them in the event shop, including high-tier materials, LMD, and Headhunting Permits.

New Operators

During the “Where the Vernal Winds Will Never Be Blow” event period, 4 new Operators will be introduced to the game – 3 from the “Solitude Universal” Limited Headhunting Banner and 1 free Welfare Operator obtainable through completing event stages.

6★ Chongyue 

Chongyue is a 6★ Limited Operator of the Fighter Guard archetype. He is the elder brother of the “Dragon Siblings” Operators, Nian, Dusk, and Ling, who are also all Limited Operators.

He will only be available from the Limited Headhunting Banner alongside his sisters.

6★ Lin

Lin Yühsia is a 6★ Operator of the Phalanx Caster archetype. She is a popular major character who appeared in various moments of the Arknights story and is finally becoming playable.

Lin is the daughter of the Rat King and his successor to be the godfather of Lungmen’s criminal empire. She is also a childhood friend of Operator Ch’en and Swire.

5★ Firewhistle 

Firewhistle is a 5★ Operator of the Fortress Defender archetype. She is in charge of a small security company in Rim Billiton and signed an agreement to provide services to Rhodes Island.

5★ Jieyun

Jieyun is a 5★ Operator of the Artilleryman Sniper archetype. She is an Anasan girl who wields a chakram and hails from the desert area in the Northwestern part of Yan.

She will be a free Welfare Operator unlockable through completing “Yumen Arena Board of Fame” event missions.

Headhunting & Orundum Rewards

When logging in during the event period, players will receive 1 free Winds of Millennia Unyielding Headhunting Permit which is only useable on the “Solitude Universal” Limited Headhunting Banner to perform a 10-roll.

Additionally, one free roll can be performed on the “Solitude Universal” Limited Headhunting Banner every day during the event period.

Like all Limited Headhunting Banner, players can exchange for any of the rate-up Operators (including Nian, Dusk, and Ling) in the shop after accumulating enough rolls on the “Solitude Universal” banner.

• Accumulate 300 rolls to exchange for 6★ Operators
• Accumulate 75 rolls to exchange for 5★ Firewhistle

During the event period, players also get 2 trials for Lungmen Lucky Strips each day. Between the 2 Lungmen Lucky Strips, players can receive Orundum based on the higher number revealed.

In addition, a new limited-time login event will also begin shortly after “Where Vernal Winds Will Never Blow” Side Story event begins, starting on the 29th July until 19th August.

New Skins

Together with the Side Story event, this update will also come with new limited-time operator outfits that will be purchasable from July 28, 2023, 10:00 (UTC-7) to August 18, 2023, 03:59 (UTC-7).

The Originite Prime (OP) cost for each outfit is as follows:

• ‘It Does Wash the Strings’ for 6★ Ling – 21 OP
• ‘Illumination That of Daylights’ for 5★ Cantabile – 18 OP
• ‘Reflection That of the Moons’ for 5★ Mulberry – 18 OP
• ‘Everything is a Miracle’ for 6★ Dusk – 21 OP
• ‘Pale Rising Moon’ for 5★ Mr. Nothing – 18 OP
• ‘Gourmet’ for 5★ FEater – 18 OP

Up to 62 outfits will also be made available at the Outfit Store for a limited time during the “Rhodes Fashion Review” event period.

Item Packs & Furniture Set

New 3.5 Anniversary themed item packages will also be available for sale during for a limited time during the event period including special Rhodes Island Headhunting Pack that guarantees the players a chosen Operator.

A new item pack called the “Monthly Chip Choice Pack” will also be added into the in-game shop starting on the 1st of August, 2023, 04:00 (UTC-7).

The “Monthly Chip Choice Pack” is only purchaseable twice per month and will give players their chosen class Chips.

Furthermore, new limited-time themed furniture sets will also be added into the game for players to decorate their dormitories.

The “Yumen Clinic” furniture sets will only be purchasable from July 28, 2023, 10:00 (UTC-7) to August 18, 2023, 03:59 (UTC-7).

Other Features 

After the update, 6★ Rosa, 5★ Leonhardt, and 4★ Podenco will be obtainable through Recruitment.

New Modules can also be unlocked for various operators, focusing mostly on Core Casters.

• 5★ Absinthe
• 5★ Amiya
• 5★ Jieyun
• 5★ Nightmare
• 5★ Qanipalaat
• 5★ Tomimi
• 6★ Ceobe
• 6★ Eyjafjalla

• 6★ Saria

Who Is Real” Side Story event will also become permanently available through Record Restoration.

Merchandise

To celebrate Arknights 3.5 Anniversary, special merchandises are available for purchase through the Yostar online store.

Some notable merchandises are bags themed after Chongyue and Lin, mouse pads, passport cases, metal pins, and physical copy of Rhodes Island’s Records of Originium Comic Anthology.
