ArcheAge Begins is now officially available for iOS and Android as Gamevil, the publisher, has announced the global launch recently. Though this game was first announced back in 2015 and a pre-registration was launched in August 2016, it was officially announced back in September on its launch date.
If you are unfamiliar with the title, it was based on the popular PC MMORPG, ArcheAge. With Gamevil collaborating with XLGAMES, they have given birth this mobile masterpiece in the span of 2 years. The mobile version will have its own storyline (set approximately 2000 years prior to the ArcheAge Chronicles) which explains parts of the missing links in the lore such as the first expedition of the Twelve Heroes.
As it is a mobile version, combat is almost mostly automated. Players will activate skills using the Card Skill System and choose to use it on a target. It is also crucial to pick the right target as the skills may affect the positioning of your character. Like many of the RPGs, there is Story Mode, PVP and 4 player real-time co-op Raids. There is also a Territory Battle mode where you will be engaging in an all-out-war between 6 factions.
Players will also experience a housing system where players will be able to do some farming or fishing. The farming and fishing activities come in the form of mini-games which will help players gather additional materials to power up their characters. There is a bit of grind like most RPGs, however if you enjoy the slow character growth and achievements, then this game may float your boat.
