The closed beta for Gamevil’s new Unreal Engine 4-powered mobile RPG ArcheAge Begins has gone live on 22 March 2017. By that we mean everything in North America, Europe and Southeast Asia will be able to download and play the game now on their Android devices.
There will be in-game events hosted everyday until 30 March 2017 when the closed beta ends. All progress will of course be deleted then. As implied in the name, ArcheAge Begins will explore the events prior to that in ArcheAge, the PC MMORPG. Yes, the game is a prequel, where the story takes place approximately 2,000 years before ArcheAge. While the mobile version is not an MMORPG like its predecessor, it does borrow a fair bit of MMO elements such as boss raids, co-op dungeons, territorial battles and multiplayer PvP as well as trading and crafting.
The actual launch date for ArcheAge Begins has yet to be announced, so stay tuned for more details!
