The new Netflix animated series Arcane based on Riot Games’ League of Legends is confirmed to be getting a season 2 and the success of the first that launched earlier this month.
You can check out the brand new teaser trailer for the season on the series officially Facebook page.
“We’re beyond happy about the positive response to Arcane’s first season and are working hard with the creative wizards at Riot and Fortiche to deliver our second installment,” said Arcane co-creators Christian Linke and Alex Yee.
It has also been confirmed that Hailee Steinfeld (Vi), Ella Purnell (Jinx), and Katie Leung (Caitlyn Kiramman) will return to reprise their voice roles.
There is currently no word on when Arcane season 2 will release but we can assume sometime next year.
Aracne is a spin-off of the League of Legends game franchise, created in part to celebrate the game’s tenth anniversary. The series serves as a prequel to the game, presenting the origins of several of its large cast of characters, notably sisters Vi and Jinx who acts as the show’s main characters.
The series is animated by French studio Fortiche who had previously made trailers and short videos for League of Legends including the popular K/DA music video.
League of Legends is available for PC and Mac. The first season of Arcane is currently streaming on Netflix. Jinx also recently appeared on Fortnite as part of a crossover.
