Check out the gameplay trailer below:
Arc the Lad R is set 10 years after Arc the Lad II that was released by Sony Interactive Entertainment back in 1995 for the PlayStation. The game from the looks of the gameplay trailer, will adopt the traditional JRPG turn-based battle system. The characters are in their cute chibi form and there will be some cut-scenes as well like Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition.

Overview of the Story:
Translated from the official site
10 years ago, the world was saved with the sacrifice of a hero and a saint. However, the calamity known as the “Great Disaster” took half of the continent into the ocean and half of humanity was lost with it.
10 years later, a boy named Haruto, who is from the vigilante corps of Millmana, one of the countries that is still rebuilding its nation. As Haruto encounters a mysterious girl named Mizuha who was in a situation, Haruto was there to safe her.
While the military empire Ardia was restoring civilization to its condition before the disaster and rapidly expanding its influence, monsters recovered momentum at the same time, and a threat known as the Divine Beasts came to surface. Dark clouds again hung over a world that appeared to be in smooth reconstruction.
The peace that should have come after that major sacrifice crumbled. “Protecting the world you left behind is a real pain of a job.” The meeting of a boy and girl, and a new conspiracy surrounding the world. Following an encounter with heroes of the past, a story of magnificent fate will set in motion again.
Currently the pre-registration is only in Japan. There is no news of an English version or if the game supports English language. However, as we follow the Arc the Lad series that was released in English later on consoles, we can pretty much rest assured that the mobile version would follow suit and have an English version later.
If you are interested in the game, you can pre-register now and help them reach that 20,000 pre-register milestone and get a 5* character when the game officially launches! For more info, you can check out their official site!
