This April, a software update is coming for AirPods Max, which will enable the highest quality of audio for music listeners and allows musicians to create music seamlessly with Personalised Spatial Audio with head tracking. This will deliver an all-new music listening experience and an even more immersive performance for music production.
With an included USB-C cable, users are able to enjoy the clearest audio experience whether it be for music, movies or games. All the while music creators can experience cutting edge enhancements for songwriting, beat making, production, and sample mixing.
Higher Quality Audio
AirPods Max will unlock 24-bit, 48 kHz lossless audio, keeping the integrity of original studio recordings in turn allowing listeners to experience music as if they are in the studio with the artists themselves. Lossless audio also extends to Personalised Spatial Audio that delivers a more accurate and uncompressed experience. With this feature, users can enjoy more than 100 million songs in lossless audio under Apple Music.

Upraised Musical Production
With lossless audio and ultra-low latency audio it will enable music creators to fully utilise AirPods Max throughout their creative workflow on Logic Pro, GarageBand and other music creation apps available. Using the USB-C cable, AirPods Max will be the only headphones that enables musicians to both create and mix music in Personalised Spatial Audio with head tracking. By delivering lossless, high-resolution digital audio with low latency, artists can record with AirPods Max without compromission.

Smooth Gameplay and Livestreaming
AirPods Max does not just benefit music listeners and creators only, gamers and livestreamers can also benefit from this as well. With the ultra-low latency audio, which lowers lag time significantly, and is on par with the native built-in speakers on Mac, iPad, and iPhone.
