Anime Festival Asia Singapore 2024, one of the region’s largest anime, cosplay, and games events, will take place from November 29 to December 1, 2024, at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre. While primarily known for its anime and cosplay offerings, this year’s festival will also include notable gaming-related attractions.
The event’s exhibition hall, dubbed Akiba Town, will feature a dedicated “Game On! Stage,” set to be a hub of gaming-related activities and content. While specific details about the gaming stage have not been disclosed, it’s expected to be a major attraction for video game enthusiasts attending the festival.
In addition to the gaming stage, Anime Festival Asia Singapore 2024 will also showcase several elements that bridge the worlds of anime and gaming. The festival will host three nights of concerts, including the “AFA x hololive Meet” on Saturday night. In addition, this concert will feature popular VTubers from hololive, hololive Indonesia, and hololive English, including names like AZKi, Tsunomaki Watame, and Hakos Baelz.
Adding to the gaming-adjacent content, Hatsune Miku will have a significant presence at the festival. Hiroyuki Itoh, CEO of Crypton Future Media, will be on stage to discuss recent Miku-related activities. The festival will also feature content from various media franchises with gaming tie-ins. Fans of BanG Dream! can look forward to appearances by Rin Tateishi and Hina Aoki, voice actors from the BanG Dream! It’s MyGO!!!!! project. Additionally, voice actors from the Tower of God anime will be present, potentially offering insights to fans of the webtoon.
Moreover, ticket options for Anime Festival Asia Singapore range from exhibition-only passes to VIP packages that include concert access. Prices for single-day exhibition tickets start at S$28, with three-day passes and concert tickets available at higher price points. VIP packages, which sold out within six hours of launch, offered the most comprehensive experience for dedicated fans.
