One of the largest annual anime conventions in Asia, Anime Festival Asia (AFA), is set to return in 2023 for its 15th year in Singapore.
The announcement was made on the official AFA Facebook page.
AFA 2023 will take place at the Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre, the venue that has hosted the majority of their events.
It will be taking place later this year for a three-day event from the 24th until 26th November 2023.
Just like in previous years, expect to see a variety of activities and shows happening at the event.
This year’s AFA will feature an exhibition hall, creators and cosplay hub, Day Stage and Akiba Stage, as well as concerts featuring international guests and performers.
While there have been no official announcements about who the special appearances will be, AFA has a history of featuring major Japanese anisong artists in their events.
The list of popular artists who have performed at AFA includes some big names such as FLOW (GO!!! from ‘Naruto’), EGOIST (Planetes from ‘Guilty Crown’) and Aimer (Brave Shine from ‘Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works’), just to name a few.
In last year’s AFA, there was even a special performance called ‘Watame Night Fever!!’ by vtuber Watame from Hololive, appearing as her 3D character.
