Japan-based f4samurai has just announced via its special livestream that it will be working on a new Ange Vierge game for the Android and iOS platforms. Ange Relink, as it is tentatively known, will act as the direct sequel to Ange Vierge ~ Girls Battle ~. Curiously enough, the latter will be ending its service on 20 December 2021, so this is the best time to get into the game if you have never tried it before.
Little has been divulged regarding the mobile RPG at this juncture, other than the fact that the roster will include both old and new characters. Ange Relink will boast a hybrid 2D and 3D art style, though that will function in reality remains to be seen. For the time being, we are going to just have to settle with the various in-game illustrations shared.
Published by Kadokawa’s Fujimi Shobo and Media Factory,. Ange Vierge was originally a digital collectible card game that made its debut back in 2013. Given the predecessor’s impressive eight year run, it is safe to assume that the sequel will have quite the pedigree going for it. Of course, it does not automatically guarantee success as many game franchises have shown, so the developer is going to have to bring something new to the table.
