Legend of Mana Remastered will be launching 24 June 2021, so this is an introduction to those who are not aware of the game. It is the fourth title of the Mana series originally released in 1999, an action RPG with you as the protagonist setting off in the world of Fa’Diel. The map comes to life with the Land Creation system, where you place Artifacts on the map and create the lands.
You’ll come across various Events that can either be standalone tales, or be part of one of three main story arcs. Remember to tell Li’l Cactus about your adventures once an Event ends! Besides the Events, you’ll also find companions along your adventures. Bud and Lisa will hang out in your home and you can bring them along. You will also encounter the Jumi whose life force is contained in their Cores, and are being pursued by a Jewel Hunter.
In battle, you can utilize Abilities and Special Techniques, and your movement in battle differs depending which of the 11 different weapons in the game. There’s also Magic from imbuing instruments with one of eight Elemental Spirits. You can buy these instruments in shops or make your own. Battles begin when you approach monsters, and being victorious will restore your HP to full. If you fall, you can simply continue from the same area.
Purchasing the game early on the Playstation Store will get you a PS4 theme and Avatar set. Purchasing the game on Steam will get you a wallpaper of the key visual.
That’s the rough introduction to Legend of Mana. You’ll soon get your chance to enjoy it with high-resolution graphics, redrawn backgrounds and updated UI.
