Innersloth has added a new mode in Among Us where you can play as your favorite crewmate and imposters, but long.
Celebrating the spirit of April Fool’s Day, a trailer for the temporary new mode was released, showcasing the elongated versions of the iconic crewmates.
According to the trailer, the mode will allow players to play as long versions of the characters in Among Us, and there will also be a special kill animation for the imposter, in which they literally stretch out of the screen to kill the crewmates.
The long version of the characters is not only reflected in-game but also shown during eject cutscenes as well, as shown during the trailer.
The new mode is currently available for all players in the game, and will only last for one week. So players interested in living the tall life while repairing things should take the opportunity to try it out.
Among Us is an online multiplayer social deduction game that was developed and published by Innersloth in 2018. The game was initially released on Android and iOS devices in June 2018, with a PC version being released later that year. It was only in December 2020 that it got ported to the Switch, with the port for Xbox and PlayStation coming even later in December 2021.
The gameplay of Among Us often revolves around the two main roles, crewmates and imposters. The crewmates will be working hard to complete assigned tasks, while the imposters are tasked to kill all the crewmates.
Despite the game being released in 2018, the game only started to gain popularity in 2020, when multiple streamers popularized the game by streaming it on various platforms.
