Hit video game Among Us is getting an official Japanese manga adaptation in the Bessatsu CoroCoro Comic monthly magazine. CoroCoro Comic is a monthly magazine in Japan aimed at children, famed for its manga properties such as Doraemon and Pokémon. However, considering the immense popularity of Among Us, it won’t be a surprise to see the demand for the magazine going up overseas.

The Among Us manga will be published as a one-shot feature in the April issue of Bessatsu CoroCoro Comic that will be released on 28th February 2022. For those who are unfamiliar, a one-shot manga is a standalone issue, as opposed to the typical manga series which gets serialised on a regular basis.
Despite having close to no storyline, that didn’t stop the Among Us fandom from creating fan fiction and even novels based on the series. The popularity of Among Us can be attributed to factors such as popular live streamers streaming the game and the memes that it spawned. From live-action to animated shorts on YouTube and even merchandise, the influence of Among Us should not be underestimated.
