Remember the Alita: Battle Angel mobile game we reported last month? It was available for pre-registration and now the game is finally going live. The movie was definitely a hit though and we do hope the game is too.
In case you did not watch the movie, Alita: Battle Angel is based on a manga series by Yukito Kishiro in 1990. Alita is a half human cyborg who had lost her memories after getting torn apart and left abandoned on a wasteland. Cyborg scientist Dr. Dyson Ido then brought her back to her lab and revived her. She soon found herself living in a harsh world where the strong prey on the weak.
By Hong Kong-based developer KoramGame, Alita: Battle Angel – The Game is a mobile MMORPG. In this game, players are to create and customize their own characters. You get to visit places that are based in the original series and also in the recent movie.
The game offers PVE and also PVP mode based on the movie where players get to challenge each other to the death. An interesting game mode would be the Motorball race shown in the movie. You can freely customize your character’s looks, gears and weapons.
Unfortunately, you do not get to play as any of the characters that featured in the movie, including Alita. However, you can still team up with them and other Hunter Warriors to assist you in battle.
Alita: Battle Angel – The Game is now officially available on the App Store and Google Play. For more information, you can visit their official Facebook Page. The game is already available in Malaysia but we are not sure about the availability in other countries because there was no announcement. If you are from a different country and the game is already available to play, do let us know!
