With the return of Alice in Borderland, both seasons of the anticipated survival thriller took on prime spots on the global non-English TV series on Netflix. With season 2 setting a record for most hours viewed in a week for Japanese series.
Alice in Borderland took the number 1 spot with a grand total of 61.2 Million viewing hours over its premiere weekend. In addition, both seasons of the series had a total viewing hour of approximately 80 million during the premiere weekend of the second season.
In the first premiere week, season 2 of Alice in Borderland managed to hit the Top 10 Series list in 90 countries including Japan, The United States, Canada, Brazil, France, Hong Kong, Taiwan and more. The new season also took up the first Series spot in 9 countries during the same period including in Malaysia.
The first season of Alice in Borderland rose back into the Global Non-English TV Top 10 in the number 2 spot on Netflix and was in the Top 10 Series list in 31 countries.
