Akuma Is Coming To Monster Hunter Rise As Its Next Collab

Street Fighter is the next Capcom brand doing a crossover with Monster Hunter Rise , as the legendary Akuma comes to Kamura Village.

The collaboration will be available from August 27th, and you can check out more of Akuma’s demonic moves in this new trailer.

Like previous collabs Monster Hunter Rise players will be able to unlock Akuma layered armor, transforming their characters into the master of the Satsui No Hado himself.

Though it wasn’t announced officially, the trailer also shows a Sword and Shield event weapon, though the sword and shield themselves are invisible and have effects to look like Akuma’s attacks, even finishing off the Perfect Rush with his Tatsu move.

By and large this looks like the most elaborate of Capcom’s collaborations with Rise, as it looks like Akuma will have multiple new emotes as well- one for his Gohadoken fireball, and possibly one for his signature move, Raging Demon.

It’s unknown if the layered armor will be segmented- in Monster Hunter World, the Ryu layered armor was a whole piece, meaning you were all-or-nothing on looking like the iconic Street Fighter character. While they haven’t said anything either ways, it looks like the same can be said for Akuma’s layered armor set in Rise, too.
