Ahn’Qiraj reopens in WoW Classic

World of Warcraft / WoW Classic has enjoyed a time of peace with the great desert fortress of Ahn’Qiraj sealed behind the Scarab Wall since the War of the Shifting Sands. This is not to last, as something sinister stirs once again within its ancient temples and ruins. The champions of the Horde and the Alliance must once again muster all their resources to breach the city’s gates and confront the Old God C’Thun. It’s time for you to join in the Ahn’Qiraj War Effort in World of Warcraft Classic!

The great desert fortress of Ahn’Qiraj, long sealed behind the Scarab Wall, is home to the insectoid qiraji, a savage race set to mount an assault to devastate the continent of Kalimdor. But something far more sinister lurks behind Ahn’Qiraj’s walls: the Old God C’Thun, an ancient entity whose pervasive evil had suffused Azeroth since time immemorial.

Veterans and new players alike will get to (re)experience one of the many epic moments in Warcraft history with the opening of the Gates of Ahn’Qiraj. This momentous event will be preceded by a 10-hour zone-wide war for survival—and when the sandstorm settles, Azeroth will welcome a new generation of Scarab Lords.
