“Calling all strategy fans! Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp comes to Nintendo Switch on April 21st! Join Andy, Max, Sami, and more in two full-story campaigns, each one filled with colorful turn-based tactical action, and go head-to-head in local and online play”.
Advanced Wars 1+2 Reboot Camp is a remake of the first two games in the Advance Wars series: Advance Wars and Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising which were released for the Gameboy Advance.
The game originally going to be released back in 2021 but was delayed due to 2022, and was then delayed again due to plot similarities between the game and the recent Russian Invasion of Ukraine.
Advance Wars was originally developed by Intelligent Systems, the same studio that makes the Fire Emblem games. It was actually thanks to the success of the first Advance Wars that Fire Emblem eventually came to international audiences as it convinced Nintendo that strategy games could sell well outside Japan.
This new game is being developed by Way Forward, the same developed that make Shantae and River City Girls.
Advanced Wars 1+2 Reboot Camp will launch on Nintendo Switch on the 21st of April 2023.
