Acer Malaysia Returns to Tablet Market with Iconia Tab Series

Acer Malaysia has officially announced its re-entry into the tablet market with the launch of two new Android tablets: the Iconia Tab P11 and Iconia Tab A8. Acer designs these devices to cater to the needs of families and students, offering a blend of entertainment and educational features.

The Iconia Tab P11 boasts an 11-inch 2K quantum dot (QLED) display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 100% NTSC wide color gamut, providing vibrant visuals for streaming content and document editing.  It is powered by an Octa-Core processor, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage (expandable to 512GB).

The Iconia Tab A8, aimed at being an entertainment and learning companion, features an 8.7-inch IPS display in a compact 8mm thin, 400g body. Acer equips the tablet with an All-winner Octa-core chip, 4GB LPDDR4 RAM, and 128GB internal storage with expandable memory options. Additionally, the A8 model includes a 5MP front camera, an 8MP rear camera, and a 6,000mAh battery for all-day use.

Both tablets come with Google Kids Space, providing a safe environment for children to access learning materials while allowing parents to manage content and screen time. The new Iconia Tab series will be available through the Acer eStore, official Acer stores on Shopee and Lazada, and authorized Acer resellers nationwide.

The Iconia Tab P11 will be available from September 1, 2024, priced at RM1,099, while the Iconia Tab A8 will retail for RM699. Acer Malaysia marks its return to the tablet market by offering special promotional prices of RM999 for the P11 and RM499 for the A8 until September 14, 2024. During this period, customers will also receive a free casing with each tablet purchase.
