Acer reigned supreme in the Chromebook market in Q4 2021 with 1.3 million shipments and 26.3% market share, more than any other competitor.
In Malaysia, Acer is the top PC company according to IDC Quarterly Personal Computing Devices Tracker Q4 21. Acer also leads the local Chromebook market share, a position it holds since 2017. In 2021, Acer Malaysia’s Chromebook revenue increased 1994% in Q3 2021 compared to the corresponding quarter in 2020, supplying devices to more than 800 education centers.
Acer Chromebooks are secure, easy-to-use, and affordable devices for productivity and communication. Contents synchronise easily across devices for users thanks to the Chrome OS. Together with its long battery life in the light yet durable chassis, the Chromebook is an ideal device for shared use.

In Acer, our research and design team focuses on improving strength and reliability of post-consumer- recycled (PCR) plastic. From 2019, Acer began using post-consumer-recycled (PCR) plastic in our products like TravelMate and Chromebook 311 (C733) to enable users to join us in supporting the use of reused or recycled materials. In 2020, Acer shipped more than 8.8 million devices with PCR plastic globally.”
