Acer has announced the newly refreshed Swift Edge 16 (SFE16-43) laptop which is designed for users who require high computing capability, productivity, and portability from their hardware.
The laptop aims to bring performance and portability together housed within a thin-and-light chassis.

The refreshed Swift Edge 16 (SFE16-43) is an all AMD system that features AMD Ryzen 7040 Series processors and up to AMD Radeon 780M graphics to power next-gen performance and visuals. The laptop will also feature AMD Ryzen AI on select models with select processors which enables the device to keep up with today’s AI demands.
The laptop’s ultra-thin and light magnesium alloy chassis measures at 12.95 mm (0.51 inches) and weighs just 1.23 kg (2.71lbs) complete with a olivine black coating. Meanwhile, the screen has a 0.2 ms response time which combined with the 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio will offer precise and high-contrast colors. The display also comes with a TÜV Rheinland Eyesafe certification which helps reduce blue light exposure.
The new Ryzen 7040 Series processors are power efficient which helps keeps the laptop running longer when not connected to the a wall outlet. The dedicated engine in AMD Ryzen AI models could enhance video calls through real-time video quality enhancements. Microsoft’s Pluton security processor (enabled by default) also adds protection to the laptop to help it defend from sophisticated attacks.
The Acer Swift Edge 16 (SFE16-43) also includes TwinAir cooling technology with enhanced fan and air inlet keyboard designs to help keep the laptop within optimal temperatures so it performs as efficiently as possible. The laptop also comes with a variety of features that helps users with overall productivity, such as supporting Window Studio Effects which could help in video conferences with automatic framing, gaze correction and advanced background blur as well as Acer’s Temporal Noise Reduction (TNR) and Acer PurifiedVoice with adds AI noise reduction making calls sound better.
The Swift Edge 16 (SFE16-43) will be available starting in July with a price of USD1,299.99 (MYR6,017.00) in North America and EUR1,199 (MYR5,960.13) in EMEA.
