Next@Acer 2019 just came to an end a short while ago and we saw some really impressive new releases from Acer, as we reported earlier. Let’s look more into the new Predator Helios 700 and upgraded Predator Helios 300.
In case you missed out on the live stream:
The impressive-looking Predator Helios 700 is designed with a unique HyperDrift forward-sliding keyboard that helps maximize airflow to keep the system running cool and quiet. It’s also powered by the all-new 9th Gen Intel Core i9 processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 GPU and 64GB of DDR4 memory.
The HyperDrift keyboard is undoubtedly one of Predator Helios 700‘s most fascinating features and mind you, it’s not just for design and comfort purposes as it’s also part of the powerful laptop’s unique thermal architecture. It consists of two of Acer’s custom-engineered 4th Gen AeroBlade 3D fans, five copper heat pipes, a vapor chamber and Acer CoolBoost Technology.

By sliding the keyboard down, it allows extra air flow into the laptop for maximum cooling through two additional air intakes. Furthermore, the glass panel also provides a view of the laptop’s heat pipes! With the HyperDrift keyboard, there’s no need to worry about the Predator Helios 700 overheating at all.
Now to the upgraded Predator Helios 300, it features a new 9th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 or 2060 and the latest GeForce GTX GPU. Compared to the old version, it has also gotten a new look with its metal chassis with teal blue accents and keyboard backlighting that can be found on other Predator gaming laptops. The Predator Helios 300 is definitely the one to look out for if you are looking for a decent mid-range laptop.
