A Solo Leveling anime?

Could Chu-Gong’s work Solo Leveling receive an anime? Solo Leveling is a series of novels by Chu-Gong, that later received a manhwa adaptation in 2018. It has since received critical acclaim, with ratings ranging between 9 and 10/10. This success has led fans to ask for an anime adaptation, with a petition created on Change.org, asking for it to be on Netflix. The petition itself has garnered over 77,000 signatures and rising, with a current goal of 150,000 signatures.

Solo Leveling features the adventures of the Hunter Sung Jin-Woo, with readers having longed asked for an anime adaptation. Who knows if the petition would actually encourage one to be made? As it were, an anime adaptation of another work, Tower of God by SIU, had been confirmed, with an official website you can check here. Tower of God is rated 9.83 on WEBTOON, so it wouldn’t be a stretch to imagine Solo Leveling receiving similar anime treatment.

Solo Leveling‘s manhwa is fully in colour, with an artistic style that pays attention to the smallest details. Should there be an anime adaptation, then it would only stand to reason it should receive a lot of budget to keep to the quality of the work. Solo Leveling’s synopsis is as follows:

“Portals with monsters have started appearing on Planet Earth. The Hunters, the name of the hunters who after the invasion obtained more or less useful divine powers, are part of several associations that deal with cleaning and closing them, an action that can only be accomplished by knocking down the final boss present in them. If they fail, the portals will eventually open up, allowing monsters to massacre humans. Sung Jin-Woo is the weakest hunter in the world but one day, after completing a quest present in a terrifying dungeon, he acquires the unique ability to be able to “level”. By starting to climb the ranks, Sung Jin-Woo begins to change his personality and becomes stronger and more confident . ”
