Let us first straighten things out a bit here – there are currently two mobile games based on the Luna Online MMORPG developed in China, both claiming to have been granted rights from IP owner EYA Interactive. The one for this write-up will be Luna Mobile, which is currently in its early test phase.
In terms of graphics, Luna Mobile is very reminiscent to that of its PC counterpart, so if you have played that, you will be right at home. Key features such as player accommodation, mounts, pets and costumes have been ported to Luna Mobile, so a lot here will be familiar. Combat seems to be standard turn-based MMORPG fare, so there is nothing particularly worth writing home about. Not ground-breaking, but functional.
Some gameplay elements were noticeable missing on the mobile platform, at least for the time being. Stuff like dating and mount racing are not available just yet. In any case, we do hope that the game finds itself a publisher soon, as we will be able to revisit it when the time comes with more features included.
