For those of you who have gotten the Nintendo Switch just recently, we’ve got some news for you. Apparently, there’s a new model of the Nintendo Switch in the making right now and it’s planned to be released in the second half of 2019, during Summer. This was reported by a source in Wall Street Journal who cited “according to suppliers and others with direct knowledge of the plan.”
Though there’s no information on the specifications of the new model, we can expect it to be like a “Pro” version of the current model. It was said that they’re also considering the cost of the device as to maintain their marketable value. That might also be the reason why the new Switch model will not adopt the high-end OLED panels that the iPhone X series use.
The news might not be 100% accurate, so it’s best to take this with a grain of salt. For now, let’s hope that this news is true so that non-Switch owners can decide to wait on the new one.
