A literary adventure: Bookbound Brigade

Intragames Co. Ltd announced it is publishing Bookbound Brigade. Developed by Digital Tales, this take on Metroidvania will release later this year for Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4 and PC. If you’re impatient, Bookbound will also be playable at Gamescom, Cologne, August 20 to 22.

Have you ever wanted to beat up those historical and literary figures you read about in school? Now you can, with a whole range of real and fictional heroes through a 2D side-scrolling, platforming world. From Dracula and King Arthur to Queen Victoria and Nikola Tesla, you’ll have to traverse a world in chaos after the ‘Book of Books’, a tome containing all works of fiction and non-fiction ever written.

Game Features:
– Explore, fight, backtrack, grow your skills and tackle challenging quests and puzzles, like any Metroidvania, but get ready for the twist…
– Your heroes fight as one formation: have a party of unique characters with individual traits and skills!
– Playable and non-playable characters are all drawn from history and literature, so see who you can or can’t recognize!
– Distinctive hand-drawn visuals inspired by styles of book illustration, setting Bookbound apart from pixel-art dominated Metroidvanias.
