PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds or better known as PUBG, is one of the biggest FPS games on PC. We have young and middle aged adults playing and streaming the game, and we even have a grandmother who’s also playing and streaming the game. She may not be the first senior citizen to play and stream online in this day of age, but she is so far the first to record her first chicken dinner in PUBG.
Her name is GrannyGottaGun and she often streams herself playing PUBG on Twitch. Recently on October 24th, GrannyGottaGun had won her first chicken dinner on PUBG and she was celebrating her first achievement. She may not have killed a single person, but she did survive throughout the battle royale ordeal (Vietnam flashbacks? jk).
To celebrate, she took it to Reddit under the PUBATTLEGROUNDS subreddit and garnered in total to date, 53,000 views on that video clip! The video clip entitled “Surviving to eat my first chicken dinner!” is on Twitch too if you look it up on her channel. Reddit being Reddit, the post she made blew up to 9.3k up votes. Not that big, but this is a post by a grandmother we’re talking about and not someone who’s popular or made a meme. Granny here got recognition from this.
“But I lived. Do you realize this is the first chicken dinner I’ve lived in? I made it all the way to the end.” – GrannyGottaGun
Watching the clip as she was playing with her partner (not sure who that is), is a blessing as she’s enjoying herself playing video games even at her age. She has never played any video games before PUBG and ever since she started playing and streaming back in July, she has recorded small achievements and uploaded them on her Twitch channel.
In this world of toxicity, I think granny is doing it right and spreading some smiles and PMA in the community. If you’d like, follow or subscribe to her channel and support her stream. Maybe you can help her win a couple more chicken dinners too! 😀
