Tower of God M showcased a preview build at G-STAR 2021, as promised when its first teaser was released. It is a 2D action RPG based on the webtoon of the same name.
The game has faithfully adapted the original webtoon story in basically its entirety, following Baam’s journey to ascend the titular tower. If you haven’t seen its adaptations, or if you’re an existing fan, this could prove to be a great time to experience or relive the story for yourself.
Gameplay involves a virtual pad for your actions, so if you’ve played an action game on mobile before, the control scheme is roughly similar with buttons for attacks and skills. An interesting thing to note is something roughly translated as a “connection skill”, usable when you have a bond with a party member.
At G-STAR 2021, the provided Tower of God M build only went through the basics, so full dives will have to wait. You can check out how the character screens look like, showing off the skills the characters may possess and many equipment slots.
The artwork certainly looks absolutely gorgeous. NGEL Games has previously brought over Hero Cantare for global audiences, so perhaps this too will eventually be available for international fans. Pre-registrations have begun in Korea, but no release date was shared.
