Level-5 has just announced that it will be terminating the service for Fantasy Life Online in Japan on 15 December 2021 through a statement posted on the game’s site:
Thank you for your continued support of “Fantasy Life Online”.
We would like to inform you that the service of this application will be terminated at 14:00 on December 15, 2021 (Wednesday).
We would like to express our sincere apologies to all our customers for this sudden announcement.
We have been working hard to create a game that our customers can enjoy since its launch, but we have come to the conclusion that it will be difficult to provide a service that satisfies our customers in the future, so we have decided to end the service.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to all our customers and apologise for the inconvenience caused by this decision.
We would like to thank you for your support during this short period of time.
Fantasy Life Online first came out for the Android and iOS platforms on 23 July 2018 in Japan, which means that the game had lasted just under four years. It is worth mentioning that the game has actually gone global via publisher Boltrend, although it is unknown if the shutdown in Japan will impact it in any way.
