Gilagaming PS5 Row Leads To Conflict With Supplier Setsuna

Bryan Tan from Gilagaming 666 has filed a police report following the scam allegations leveled yesterday, leading to a tussle with their supposed supplier, Setsuna Shoppe.

In the report, they named merchant Setsuna as their supplier, pinning the blame on them and accusing them of having run off with over RM800,000 in pre orders for the PS5.

“Our side will give two weeks to the supplier, if the supplier’s side didn’t send the stock or doesn’t give money, then we will directly deal with the supplier”, a representative from Gilagaming said, declining to be named. “I will directly report [to the authorities], directly saying that they are scam”, they said.

Having been named in the official police report, Setsuna staged his own Facebook live, painting a different story of the ongoing events.

“[Gilagaming] says that he’d already paid, and that I hadn’t provided the stock. That’s a total lie”, Setsuna says.

In Setsuna’s live, he said he was also filing his own counter report, putting the blame instead on Gilagaming and defending his reputation as a trusted seller.

He also described the nature of the relationship between the two sellers, saying that Setsuna had originally thought the PS5s were being acquired for personal use instead of being sold to the public.

“His order was too over (sic)”, Setsuna says.”Even if you have the money, you just can’t get that much stock”.

In the live, he described Gilagaming as having originally just sought after three of the console, before continuing to ramp up his demands.

According to Setsuna he’s now sold over three hundred units to Gilagaming, and claimed to have proof of the transactions.

The Reseller Market

It should be noted that Setsuna wasn’t exactly an authorized dealer for the elusive PS5 console either, having been selling his consoles at RM4,100, well into scalper price territory.

That being said, he also described the fact that Gilagaming was selling the supplied consoles at a loss as inherently suspicious too.

This all started with accusations that Penang-based seller Gilagaming had run off with money for preordering the PS5, after their Facebook disappeared and they announced a 10-day hiatus.

Conflicts like these are why it’s usually recommended to buy from Authorised Dealers- stores that get their supply from Sony directly, rather than buying from resellers..
