Games available through the Netflix mobile app will be available to global users, with Android users getting them from the Google App Store on 2 November 2021, 10:00 PT, followed by the Netflix app on 3 November 2021, 10:00 PT.
If you already have a subscription to the streaming service, Netflix has assured these games will be available to all global members at no additional cost or ads.
“Starting today, members everywhere can play five mobile games: Stranger Things: 1984 (BonusXP), Stranger Things 3: The Game (BonusXP), Shooting Hoops (Frosty Pop), Card Blast (Amuzo & Rogue Games), and Teeter Up (Frosty Pop). Whether you’re craving a casual game you can start from scratch or an immersive experience that lets you dig deeper into your favorite stories, we want to begin to build a library of games that offers something for everyone.”
Some of the games will be available for offline play, while others require an active internet connection. iOS devices were not specified, for whatever reason.
The blog says this offering is in its early days, so stay tuned for more. With the massive library of shows currently available to stream on the platform, one is theoretically spoilt for choice to decide which should get a game adaptation of sorts, so what’s your pick?
