Nintendo Switch OLED to launch in Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines 8 October

If you were interested in the Nintendo Switch OLED, Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines will be able to obtain Maxsoft-distributed models 8 October 2021. It’s a good opportunity for those who have yet to get the original Nintendo Switch, and will be in time for holiday titles – Pokemon Brilliant Diamond / Shining Pearl, for starters – among the multitude of other first- or third-party titles and ports that are to come. Maybe even Kingdom Hearts, with Sora’s stunning debut into the Smash Bros. canon…

The Nintendo Switch OLED release date being set for 8 October for at least Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines is the same as the global release date, should you have been worrying about a delay in production, shipping and what have you in the current pandemic climate. From our initial survey on the console, respondents were not especially impressed about the release, though as mentioned, there is the potential to get late adopters into the Nintendo Switch ecosystem. The Nintendo Switch Online service is going to be expanded in late October, if these people are looking for even more reasons to get one.
